Crispy Parmesan-Crusted fish and fries! 🍟

Ingredients:

For the Fish:

  • 4 fish fillets (white fish like cod or tilapia works great)
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • Olive oil (for frying)

For the Fries:

  • 4 large potatoes (peeled and cut into fries)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)

Instructions:

For the Fish:

  1. Prepare the Coating: In a shallow bowl, combine grated Parmesan, panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  2. Set up the Dipping Stations:
    • In one bowl, place the flour.
    • In another, the beaten egg.
    • In the third bowl, the Parmesan breadcrumb mixture.
  3. Coat the Fish:
    • Dredge each fillet first in flour, then dip in the egg, and finally coat in the Parmesan breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to ensure it sticks.
  4. Fry the Fish: Heat a generous amount of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully place the coated fish fillets in the skillet. Fry each side for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

For the Fries:

  1. Prepare the Potatoes: Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Toss the potato fries with olive oil, salt, pepper, and paprika. Spread them evenly on a baking sheet.
  2. Bake the Fries: Bake for 30-35 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the fries are golden and crispy.

Serve:

  • Place the crispy Parmesan crusted fish next to the golden fries on a plate.
  • Optional: Serve with a side of tartar sauce, lemon wedges, or a fresh salad.

Enjoy your crispy, flavorful meal!
